Who needs the Code of Connection (CoCo) Compliance Delivery?

  1. Organisations which have not previously required a secure connection will need guiding through the processes needed to comply with the CoCo
  2. Organisations that have already procured a VEGA Express CoCo review or a Full CoCo review may require further support to areas assess compliance and plan next steps
  3. Organisations which have a requirement to maintain a Code of Connection and require support assessing compliance following a change in government best practice guidance and policy.

What does VEGA's CoCo Compliance Delivery service offer?

Based on a proven track record, VEGA provides specialist expert advice to any organisation, large or small, which needs to connect to one or more secure government networks. We can guide an organisation through the processes required to comply with the CoCo. The CoCo Compliance Delivery service is the third of these modules, and will assist clients in delivering a compliant, connected system.

Assumptions

This module assumes that your organisation has had an assessment done against your CoCo which includes a network schematic and a gap analysis providing you with a clear path to its requirements.

CoCo Compliance Delivery service components

VEGA's CoCo Compliance Delivery service will provide the organisation with several components:

  • Project initiation meeting covering scope, objectives, major risk areas, and the deliverables VEGA will provide. It also covers the responsibilities and resources required, along with milestones and a closure date.
  • Project Plan showing all the individual work packages required for each area of non-compliance. Estimates can be calculated, providing the time and resource required for each task. Workshops can be conducted in order to provide courses of action and direction for these tasks.
  • Project management and delivery checkpoint meetings to keep the project on track, with additional resource for certain tasks, such as policy development, provided by VEGA, as and when necessary.
  • CoCo submissions will be modified and developed as the process evolves, with the CoCo being updated to reflect changes and ensure each submission improves.
  • Assistance with Pre-Connection activity which may include delivery of training packages, installations of new security devices, or technical configuration support.
  • Assistance with post-connection activity which may include testing of services or liaising with the helpdesk to address unresolved issues.
  • IT Health Check (CHECK) is recommended as part of CoCo compliance. VEGA can provide a CHECK-certified ITHC service.
