VEGA joins British Standards Institution’s Associate Consultant
Programme
17 July 2009 – VEGA Consulting Services Ltd
(VEGA), a Finmeccanica company, has been accepted onto the British
Standards Institution’s (BSi) Associate Consultant Programme.
As a programme member, VEGA’s expertise in
the areas of information security, programme and project management
and business continuity management will be highlighted by the BSi
as a recognised consultancy that offers services relating to
ISO/IEC 27001 and BS 25999.
The BSi is a global independent business
services organisation that advocates, defines and implements best
practice across every field of human endeavour, from business
continuity to food safety. It was established in 1901 as the
world’s first national standards body, and now has more than 2,250
staff operating in over 100 countries. Its Associate Consultant
Programme was established to provide a list of consultancy
companies with proven capability, so that the BSi could then
recommend them to prospective customers.
As well as being a source of business
opportunities for VEGA, membership allows VEGA to reproduce its ACP
membership logo on all relevant collateral as well providing
additional benefits including support from BSi, half price
standards, and networking opportunities.
VEGA’s General Manager, Paul MacGregor,
said: “I am very happy that VEGA’s capability and experience around
information security, programme and project management and business
continuity management have been recognised by the BSi. It is a
privilege for VEGA to be associated with such a respected
organisation and I am positive that we can continue to provide
clients with a quality of service that is now reflected in of our
ACP membership.”
