VEGA sponsors RUSI's Defence Information Superiority
conference
17 June 2010 – VEGA Consulting Services Ltd
(VEGA), a Finmeccanica company, is sponsoring and contributing to
RUSI’s Defence Information Superiority conference, which will
profile the importance of Information Superiority as a “Core
Capability for Defence and National Security”.
In light of the forthcoming Strategic
Defence and Security Review, which is due for publication later
this year, the conference, on 29-30 June in London, will outline
how Information Superiority can improve the efficiency and
front-line effectiveness of every operational environment, and is a
key factor to ensuring that platforms and people operate to their
full potential.
The conference is being held in conjunction
with the UK Ministry of Defence, and will feature speakers who will
begin by examining the strategic trends in both the security and
cyber sectors. Military commanders will then describe how
information systems have aided recent operations in theatre, and
industry partners will demonstrate how they anticipate new
technologies could improve existing capabilities.
VEGA has a long-established track record
delivering reliable and trusted information and communication
solutions to the military and an extended intelligence community.
As such, the company is delighted to be contributing to RUSI
Defence Information Superiority conference programme.
As part of the two-day programme, VEGA will
outline – within the current fiscal constraints – how best to
provide those making information superiority capability investment
decisions, with the clarity and confidence to choose solutions that
represent value-for-money and deliver maximum operational
effectiveness.
