VEGA focuses on information superiority and cyber security
challenges at Le Bourget 2011
16 June 2011 – VEGA Consulting
Services Ltd (VEGA), a Finmeccanica company, will be profiling its
expertise in the areas of information superiority and cyber
security, at Le Bourget 2011.
As part of Finmeccanica’s
significant presence, VEGA will be contributing to the group’s
overall capability on display. In particular, the company will be
demonstrating solutions that are currently supporting information
superiority in theatres of operation, promote secure
intelligence sharing, and address international cyber security and
information defence challenges.
This includes the Integrated
Cyber Shield programme on which VEGA is playing a key role as part
of its parent company, SELEX Sistemi Integrati’s overall offer.
VEGA has a specific focus in this area, creating a Security
Operations Centre (SOC) aimed at meeting the UK sovereign
security and information defence challenges at all levels of
classification.
VEGA will also be highlighting
its expertise in support of defence information superiority through
the use of Application Characterisation Services (ACS)
and theatre network service management. Both are already playing a
significant role in actively enabling coalition forces to
understand their information networks and perform more efficiently
in the theatres of operation.
VEGA Managing Director, Paul
MacGregor, said: “The 21st century's reliance on information
systems, means the management and defence of shared information is
of vital importance. Information Superiority is now core to the
success of any military programme or commercial enterprise. Le
Bourget provides us with an opportunity to share with customers
innovative ways to achieve advantage quickly and cost effectively
using our proven technologies and delivery methods.”
