RUSI Defence Information Superiority conference
29-30 June 2010 - Banqueting Hall, Whitehall, London
With the upcoming, and long overdue, Strategic
Defence Review due for publication in late 2010, the RUSI Defence
Information Superiority conference (formerly RUSI's annual C4ISTAR
Conference) profiled the importance of information superiority as a “Core Capability for
Defence and National Security.”
In conjunction with UK MOD, the event outlined
how information superiority can
improve the efficiency and front-line effectiveness of every
operational environment, and is a key factor to ensuring that
platforms and people operate to their full potential.
This year’s programme of speakers began by
examining the strategic trends in both the security and cyber
sectors. Military commanders then described how information systems
have aided recent operations in theatre, and industry partners
demonstrated how they anticipate new technologies could improve
existing capabilities.
