Cybersecurity: Scaremongering or The Next Arms Race?

Collins Stewart Hawkpoint Technology Group hosted a seminar dedicated to cyber security, which debated several key topics including: whether local solutions can be successful to a global problem; the best way to play the cyber sector; the impact of government legislation; the likelihood of a major industrial disaster resulting from cyber terrorism; and the implications for industrial companies.

In his role as Finmeccanica Cyber Solutions Director, Paul MacGregor, VEGA Managing Director, spoke at the seminar on the topic of ‘Reclaiming security control in Cyber Space’. As organisations around the globe grapple to understand the full implications that a successful cyber attack may have on their future business, Paul highlighted the pervasive nature of the threats, while at the same time suggested that responses to such threats are available to those ready to evolve.
