The Government's IT Strategy aims to
capitalise on the opportunity provided by IT to transform the
business of government. The Transformational Government IT Strategy
covers three main points:
- Services enabled by IT must be designed around the citizen or
business
- Move to a culture of Shared Services
- There must be a broadening and deepening of government's
professionalism in terms of the planning, delivery, management,
skills and governance of IT-enabled change
