UK National Security Strategy
In early 2008, the UK Government published the country’s first
National Security Strategy. The strategy, for the first time,
considered the security challenges posed by a full remit of threats
facing the UK, including terrorism (home and abroad), nuclear
attack, natural disasters such as extreme weather and flooding,
international crime and cyber attacks. In June 2009 the Strategy
was updated and complemented by the UK
Cyber Security Strategy.
The ability to exchange information, while at the same time
ensuring the integrity of the underlying infrastructure and its
users, is essential to delivering against the challenges of both
strategies. This ability becomes even more important when you
consider the role of the UK armed forces and the requirement for
them to interact with organisations and agencies operating
outside their secure domains.
VEGA understands that joining up a plethora of intelligence
sources and a network of incompatible, legacy information systems,
compartmentalised across the military and stakeholder government
departments, is overwhelming in its complexity. As an independent

instil best practice information
assurance and facilitate secure
information sharing classified as 'Top Secret' and above. Our
clients include:
- Secure Government Agencies
- CSIS IPT
- DII IPT

- FCO
- Disposal Services Authority
