Defence Acquisition Change Programme (DACP)
The Defence Acquisition Change Programme (DACP) looks after the
implementation of the strategic changes recommended in the Defence Industrial Strategy and the subsequent. 'Enabling
Acquisition Change' report. One of the programme’s primary
challenges is to transform the MOD’s ability to deliver the concept
of Through Life Capability Management
(TLCM): “…an
approach to the acquisition and in-service management of military
capability in which every aspect of new and existing military
capability is planned and managed coherently across all Defence
Lines of Development (DLoDs) from cradle to grave.”
VEGA understands that the ability to make
informed capability acquisition decisions is paramount. The impact
of these decisions, when considered within the context of the
complex and differing priorities of all DLoDs, needs to be fully
understood, to enable them to be continually evaluated and
reassessed throughout the capability's lifecycle.
We are actively engaged across the MOD and
industry to help ensure that TLCM delivers the full potential
benefit to the Front Line Commands. VEGA works on TLCM-related
projects across the MOD and has also produced several opinion
pieces on the topic:
