Information Superiority

The 21st century's saturated application of technology, and the resultant explosion and sharing of information, makes managing that data a vital yet complex task. This, coupled with the UK's widening military responsibilities both domestically and abroad means information superiorty was at the heart of the Strategic Defence and Security Review (SDSR) published in October 2010.

The review is a thorough evaluation of the UK's defence activities, and the role that the exploitation of information has to play in providing more for less, enhancing front line capability, and acting as a force multiplier, is a central theme.

However, the operational benefits of information superiority can only be realised when requirements and performance are properly understood and managed, and when the integrity of the data being shared can be assured. The challenge this presents, when considering the complexity of System of Systems' interactions operating predominantly within multi-agency or international coalitions, is immense.

Vega has a rich heritage of working in partnership with Government, the military and industry to deliver information superiority capability. We offer a range of skills and services that ensure the successful definition, security, procurement, and through-life management of information superiority capability. For those making capability investment decisions, we provide the clarity and confidence to choose information solutions that represent value-for-money and deliver maximum operational effectiveness.

This section of our website constitutes both Vega's latest thinking and related activities in support of the Information Superiority.
