Summary: The successful candidate will help identify, qualify and secure new contracts for work by designing and proposing suitable solutions and capability to meet client requirements.

Such contracts will usually be of a fixed price nature rather than time and material. The SSD will remain responsible for the solution throughout contract life.

 

ASP, as part of the S&R Practice responds to or seeks new opportunities to deliver product and capability in the S&R domain to a wide range of markets and clients in both the public and private sector. The SSD leads the response to new opportunities.  

 

Responsibilities / Duties

As a SSD in this area, additional to solution design, you will coordinate and manage the solution from teams with various expertise to include:

  • Design engineers and system architects who develop and deliver complex and Infosec Assured ICT systems
  • Penetration Testing and Health Checking of Information Systems to confirm that the system is fit for purpose
  • Advice and guidance on ensuring an enterprise conforms with and achieves ISO 27001 certification in respect of its Information Security Management System
  • Business Resilience, including Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Physical Security and Information Security

 

As an SSD, you will work alongside the Sales Team to establish additional opportunities by designing and proposing suitable solutions and capability to meet client requirements

 

Qualifications / Experience

Preferably a graduate in ICT, software systems engineering or similar.  Post graduate degree in Information Security or similar would be an advantage. Experience in secure system design and architectures would also be an advantage.

 

Essential Skills

  • Experience of designing secure solutions or services for HMG and private sector
  • Extensive experience in Information Assurance and associated technology
  • Previous Management Experience with excellent interpersonal skills

 

Desirable Skills

  • Comfortable with the manipulation of and able to articulate system modeling tools such as MODAF
  • Able to explain complex solutions in simple terms and quickly gain client credibility of design ability

 

Qualities

Must demonstrate both team leading and team working capability. Must show self-starting and complete finishing qualities. Must quickly win a person’s confidence.

 

Location

Bristol – with travel in and around the south of England.
