Candidates should have an understanding of all
aspects of penetration testing, and a proven aptitude towards
either network assessments or an understanding of web based
applications. You will need to have used a variety of network
security testing tools and exploits to identify vulnerabilities and
recommend corrective action, as well as experience of manual
penetration testing and an understanding of IP Networking in a
security context. You will also need to have experience with
security testing of Web based applications. CHECK or Crest are a
benefit but not essential as full training will be given to enable
the successful applicant to achieve these qualifications
Responsibilities / Duties
- To undertake Technical Health/Vulnerability Tests, individually
or as part of a team
- To assist in maintaining CHECK Laboratory
- To support Service Line and Sales process through pre-sales
support and Bid input
- To support Group IS and contribute to VEGA White Papers and
research documents
- To work towards achieving either Check or Crest
certifications
Qualifications /
Experience
- Proven IT background
- Experience of penetration testing in a commercial
environment
Essential Skills
- The planning and execution of penetration tests
- Writing of test reports
- An appreciation of the broader Information Security issues
- The ability to manage staff
- Current driving license
- IT Literate with knowledge and experience of the full range of
Microsoft Office applications
